STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Spray your crockpot with a nonstick cooking spray. I used coconut oil cooking spray.
Open your can(s) of pork and beans.
Put into the crockpot.
Gather your ingredients.
Add 1/2 cup of white sugar.
Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar. (So sorry about the blurry picture, did not even catch that)
Add 1 cup of ketchup.
Add salt to taste.
Add pepper to taste.
Cut you got dogs into bite size picture. I used turkey dogs to make a but healthier, but regular hot dogs are just as good!
Add the turkey dogs into the crockpot.
Peel your onion.
Split in half.
Wash your onion with cold water. This can help reduce your eyes from watering.
Make slits down the onion.
Make sideways slits through the onion.
Now dice. That cutting method makes perfect size cubes of onions in half the time!
Add the onions to the crock pot.
Stir well together.
Set your crock pot on low and for 6 hours. 4 hours is good too as long as it's completely heated through.
Beep beep! Time to lift the lid and stir! *if you don't want to use the crockpot simply mix in an oven safe dish. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees
Serve as a side dish and enjoy! The kiddos will love it. I normally serve it with meatloaf. Childhood favorite. Tonight I served it with pulled BBQ chicken sandwich!
