Butter the dish well
Halve, peel and core the pears and place in the buttered dish
Add the sugar, water, vanilla beans and dot with butter
Wrap tightly in foil and cook for 1 and a half hours
After that add cream to the cored hollows and cook for a further 15 minutes.
After coming out of the oven
Drizzle over the sauce and then you are done
