STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Firstly, chop your onions whichever way you want.
Get your ingredients ready, I've got 4 chilli's, some ginger and a clove of garlic. I don't ever measure my ingredients but you can add more or less to how it suits you.
Add oil to your saucepan, this can be either olive oil or sunflower oil. I used sunflower oil. Next, add a 1 or 2 teaspoons of fennel seeds to your pan and let it sizzle.. On medium heat
Once your fennel seeds are popping, add onions and fry til they're slightly brown
Once you see the onions going slightly brown, add the chopped garlic and chopped or grated garlic into the pan. You adjust the gas higher if you want to.
Add the chopped chilli's until the mixture looks well fried. (Brownish)
Add a tablespoon of tumeric, salt and masala powder (you can buy this from any large supermarket)
Mix well. Let all the spices soak into it for a minute and then you are ready for the next step.
Add 2 or 3 tins of baked beans to the pan. (I added 3)
Start mixing
Then add cups of water. * Use the same amount of tins of beans you put in. You can just add water to the empty tins so it's the correct measurement.
Now put the gas on high, mix a few times and let the gravy thicken.
Keep stirring after a while just to make sure it doesn't stick / burn to the bottom, you can also adjust the gas If you think the gas is too high.
Once your gravy has thickened you can add it to a dish and garnish it with coriander. Eat this hot with toast or fresh chapattis or naan or rice! 😋 ENJOY X
