The paper that I will be using measures 5 1/2 by 11 inches. Yours can be any size you like. Just make sure that your paper has these same proportions. If it helps, this is basically half of a square

First, you need to fold the paper widthwise, to make a crease, then unfold the paper.

Next, you need to fold one corner of your paper down to meet the center crease.

Next, fold the other corner to align with the one that has already been folded.

It should look like this. You will now unfold the paper.

Flip the paper over, and fold one side (the side that you have been working on) in towards the center crease. Make a crease, then unfold.

The next part is a bit hard to explain: First, you need to flip the paper back over. You will be creating a triangular base with the creases that you just made.

Press down on the horizontal crease.

Repeat steps 3-9 on the other end of the paper.

When you have all four corners folded, this is how it should look.

Gently press down on the top of this pocket, and flatten it into a small square.

Now working with one small square, fold both sides in toward the center. Repeat on all squares.

If you look below my thumb, you will see that this forms a pocket. You are going to gently press on the top op this pocket to flatten it, like before.
