How to make an origami crane

Get a perfect square piece of paper. Any size square will work.

Fold the piece of paper hot dog-style.

Fold the price of paper in half again to make a little square

Fold the square into a triangle.

Now unfold it so that it will look like the square you started off with. Indented lines should look like this now.

Take two corners and fold them together to the line that runs down the center when you turn the square like a diamond. The top part should look like a bird opening it's mouth.

When you flatten the top that looked like a beak, it should look like this. When completely flat, it should be a little square.

Now take one side of the diamond like this...

And fold it down the middle. There should be an indented lined own the middle where it should be folded to help you.

Then fold the other side the exact same way.

It should look like a kite. Do the same process on the other side.

It should look like this once you're done with the previous step. Be sure that there are three layers, the middle one with two leg looking pieces that will become the head and the tail.

Take one of the two leg looking pieces and pull it up to the side of the diamond

Then pull it up. The paper might look like a crane already, but this isn't the finished project yet.

Do the same thing on the other leg looking piece. It should look like this now.

Next, take one of the pieces striking out and flatten it out. It should look like a triangle. When you have hone so, fold it the opposite way of the crease.

Do the same thing on the other side. When you've done that, it should look an awful lot like the head of a Doberman Pincher.

Take one of the 'ears' and fold it down, this will be the tail if it is on the left side, or the had if it is on the let side.

Do the same thing on the other end.

Take the tip of the right end and fold it the opposite direction of the crease. That is the head.

Bring the two wings up and you're done!
