How to make an origami boat

Begin with square piece of paper

Fold both diagonals

Fold upper and lower corners to the center

Unfold

Fold the same corners to the creases just made

Fold again using the existing creases

Turn over

Rotate 90 degrees

Fold upper and lower corners to the center

Unfold and fold the same corners to the creases just made

Fold again using the existing creases

Fold the top and bottom horizontal edges to the center

Fold all four corners to the center line

Fold like so

Fold the other side like the previous; these folds will slightly overlap

Repeat on top

Fold the top and bottom corners in to the center; the layers are thick so fold carefully and accurately

Open the model out

Shape the boat and voila!
