To make the Easter basket it is best to use a cake. The layer or checker cakes are the ones you will have to choose from to make a beautiful, delicious Easter basket.
It doesn't matter what kind of batter you use because it will all be covered up with frosting but I just chose yellow.
If you are doing layered like me you will need to put vanilla frosting all over the first layer. It doesn't have to be vanilla frosting but I think vanilla looks better. You could also use black too.
Press the button in the corner that says "Add Layer" and your next layer will pop up.
Frost that layer too.
Go into decorations and find the "Licorice Easter Basket Handle" and just tap the very tippy top of the cake right in the middle so it shows up like this. I doesn't have to be perfect. Mine isn't.
Press the arrow to leave decorations and press the button that says Decorating Pen at the top. Choose the color you want your basket to be (I choose blue) and put it on round.
Draw a blue line on the first edge of the cake
Then the second. Make sure not to overlap part of the handle. I accidentally did...
Draw a line down on the left side of the cake.
Keep drawing lines next to it to cover the whole bottom in blue. Try and not let it go off the bottom of the cake. It's better to have it not go all the way than have it go over. Go over any mistakes.
Draw a line at the bottom to cover the edges up.
Ad draw one on the right side of the cake.
And the left.
And then over the top.
Go back to decorations and put in some of your bigger candies first.
Then some of your medium sized ones.
And some small ones. What I like about the Bunny Sprinkles and the Easter Egg Sprinkles is that it just really adds a good touch to your basket.
I decided I wanted to put something on the front of my basket because it looked to plain so I put this giant bunny head on it. The Easter egg to the left of it also works as good decoration.
