How to make an awesome pop up birthday card

Take a piece of paper or cardboard ( I used a page from my visual arts diary, it's 28cm x 35cm or 11" by 14")

Cut it in to 2

I forgot to take a photo before cutting it, but basically draw this design on to one of the pages and cut out the letters and the sides, but make sure you don't cut the horizontal lines.

Make sure you don't scratch the thing under the card, I put an old notebook under it

Here's what the back of the card looks like when folded

Paint the other piece of paper that you're gonna stick under it to hide the back

You can use any colour you want but I made it rainbow. You don't have to paint the whole thing because only part of it will show through.

Glue it on
