Make an AeroPress Iced Coffee at Your Work Desk

I love iced coffee, and while it's nice to get out of the office to go to Starbucks, sometimes it just isn't possible. So here's how you can make it quick and cheap in the office at your desk.
The tools: AeroPress with included filters and measuring spoon, Starbucks insulated iced coffee cup, some Starbucks ground coffee, half and half, Splenda and a knife for stirring.
We're going to use the inverted method, so the hot water can steep in the coffee longer. To do this, simply insert the plunger so it's just a quarter inch in and turn the AeroPress upside down.
Add in your ground coffee. Because we're adding ice, it's going to water the coffee down, so it's good to add another scoop. I placed in 3 scoops with the included scooper.
Add in hot water, I used our office water cooler and filled it to the first line of my cup. You can alternatively microwave ~8-10oz.
Add in your hot water to your coffee in your inverted AeroPress.
With both the coffee and hot water added, it should be very close to the top.
Stir the mixture for about one minute. This will help with the steeping.
Fill your large cup up with ice.
Give the mix one more stir, then screw on your filter and grate to the AeroPress.
Flip the AeroPress over carefully and place it into your cup. Begin plunging the coffee into the ice.
You want to plunge as much as you can but leave a tiny bit of air between the plunger and the compacted coffee.
Add in your creamer, in my case half and half.
Mix in your sweetener, I use two packets of Splenda.
You might want to top it off with ice as a good amount melted in cooling your hot coffee. You now have delicious iced coffee at your desk without missing much work. Enjoy!
