Here are the ingredients. You must use only the brands I show here or the whole thing will be a giant failure. Ok I'm kidding, use what you have! Start with an unthawed steak, any cut will work!
Salt it up. The quantity I recommended was made up, salt it how you like it. Actually salt it how whoever is going to be eating it likes it.... Don't be a selfish jerk.
Same story with the pepper.
Add some Thyme.... Not time.... Thyme.... Like the spice. Also add the rosemary... Again it's the spice, not someone named rosemary.
Don't eat it yet!!! Are you crazy! Flip it over and season the other side same as before.
Grab your pan of choice. Add the olive oil and put in in the pan in high heat. Swirl it around a bit too, just don't go too crazy, we got things to do here.
Wait until the olive oil starts to smoke just a little bit. Reduce the heat a bit and plop your steak in the pan. Once it's down, do NOT touch it. Just let it go baby!!
Timing is going to depend on the size of steak. I did these for 4 min for medium. Flip it and do the same amount of time for the second side. Pre-heat your oven to 200
Grab some butter and melt it in the pan. Scoop some with a spoon and put it on top of the steak. What recipe does not get better when butter is added? None, because every thing is better with butter.
Let it sit in there for the same amount if time as you did side 1. It will smoke some, don't worry. Unless it starts on fire, then you should worry. Perhaps we need a guide on how to extinguish fires?
You can skip the last step if you like it a little more rare. You can extend the time too if you like it more well done. You can skip the whole guide if you're a vegetarian.
Grab a cookie sheet, put some foil down and put the steaks on it when side 2 is complete. Put it in the oven for the same amount of time as you did 1 side. They'll be ready after that!
