How to make abstract paintings with ice

Freeze a bowl of ice or snow.  I suggest using a clear plastic container.

Sprinkle some salt over the top of your ice/snow.

Check out the sides of your container (if using clear plastic) to see how the paint pools and drips.

After your art has melted a bit, put it in your tub, sink, or on a linoleum or tile floor.  Take it out of the container.  Observe what happens when the colored water spreads out.

Rinse the remaining ice and start over for more abstract ice painting!
