How to make a wooden star decoration

Drill holes (in the middle) on either side of each paint stick. Make sure you get bolts to fit the size hole.

'Weave' the star together, attach each end with bolts, nuts, washers. You must weave the sticks so they will 'lock' into place.

Paint star desired color. Be sure to do both sides. You want to cover up the advertising print.

If desired, add stain.

For this star, I used a strand of 50 lights. Find middle of strand, and begin wrapping half of the strand around star. (Wrapping half at a time is much easier than wrapping the whole strand)

Finished wrapping. Make sure the plug is at the bottom point of the star.

This star I used a strand of 35 lights.
