How to make a vintage suitcase cat bed or basket

So here's an old suitcase I found for a bargain in a local thrift shop. Time to get this turned into a gorgeous and rather chic-looking cat bed

You'll need to find enough fabric to line the bottom section of the suitcase and cut it to shape so you have enough to fill the bottom and sides.

Squeeze a line of glue on the inside edges of the case and hold fabric in place. I used a heavy book to assist here. Doing 2 sides at a time allowing 30mins drying time.

Once the bottom part is done, then glue the sides in place. Once fully dry, using scissors, carefully cut along the top. Then, using superglue, stick the door knobs underneath into place.

Whilst drying process takes place. Use the time to print photos and frames for the top inside part of the case. The 'bed's wall' so to speak.

Glue these photos or whatever you like into the top part of the case. Get creative and decorate it as you see fit! Leave the whole thing to dry overnight. Cats don't like glue fumes!

Following day - voila!! Cat bed made, looks original, chic, cute

And Pru spends all her time in it now winter is coming along. One very happy kitty.
