How to make a v-day heart

I'm actually going to use an old stocking to make the scarf. And yes, it's a giant stocking.

Turn stocking inside out. At this point I normally will take some safety pins to keep both sides together

Draw your heart with the sharpie. Not that depending on the fabric or material you use, it will bleed. So do what you got to do.

You can make your hear as big or as small as you wish. My hearts always turn out funky as you can see.

At this point get your thread and needle and thread the needle.

I start to cut the bottom and then start sewing from there. I normally trim the heart as I work my way around the heart sewing it.

When you are getting close to finishing, leave a gap. You'll need a decent sized hole, depending on how big your heart is, to reverse it to the inside.

A few finger pricking later....

Leave a hole to turn it inside out

At this point, I go through and see if their is any "holes" that I need to go back over to sew.

Here's one spot that needs to be fixed.

Now that you have checked and fixed all the holes.... It's time to stuff if. Put as much stuffing/cotton that you feel is appropriate for your heart.

Once stuffed finish sewing it up.

I've done other heart too that have designs.

With your heart you can get creative and do what you want to. You can write a special not for someone or make a design.
