stamp texas shape on book paper using Putty Dye Ink

color shape in using colored pencils - do not use a blender - the waxy finish will repel ink in next step

stamp texas quote over shape using Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink

tear around edges and distress using Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink applied using Stylus & Tips

make 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card using kraft cardstock

cut a 3 X 5 piece of gingham paper and a 1 1/2 X 2 piece of plaid paper. ink edges with Chestnut Roan Chalk Ink

adhere gingham paper to card front with Zip Dry

tear "notches" towards left edge of plaid paper and tie with 5 strands of string

adhere plaid paper to card front at an angle

use foam tape to adhere quote at an angle to card front

add a dovetailed piece at left and pointed piece at right cut from trash strip on paper under plaid piece.
