How to make a symmetrical triangle arrangement

First you take a standard dish. It is used to hold a 1/3 brick of oasis. The oasis is also held in by 6 prongs which are located inside the dish. The dish also influences the shape of the arrangement.

Next you take a1/3 brick of oasis. The oasis is used as the starting point in arrangement and used to support the arrangement. Before it is put into the standard dish it is fully submerged in water.

Next you place the oasis into the standard dish. When placing the oasis into the dish you must use a flat hand otherwise you will leave little dimples. Also, don't use your finger tip to push it down.

After this you must cut the edges off of the oasis. This process is called beveling the edges. When you do this it does not have to be perfect and you do this to give the oasis more surface space.

The next step is to take a short piece of anchor tape and put it over the oasis horizontally. By doing this, you secure the oasis into the standard dish in case it comes loose.

Next you take 2 pieces of leather leaf and wipe the stems off with a paper towel. You then put these two pieces back to back on top of the oasis.

You then take 3 more pieces of leather leaf and put one in each side of the oasis except for the back. The reason that you don't put one in the back is because it is a one side arrangement.

As mentioned in the last slide, this is a one sided arrangement. This means that there is no leather leaf or flowers in the back of the arrangement.

Next you fill in the oasis with a bunch of leather leaf. This process is called greening. By doing this you start to give the arrangement it's shape.

Next you take four pieces of lurkspur. You then put one in each side except for the back and then you also put one coming out of the top. This should give the arrangement a triangle shape.

After doing this, you take 3 standard carnations (one coming out on each side diagonally and one in the middle).

After putting your 3 standard carnations in, you fill the rest of the the oasis in with mini carnations and mums. In the end, your arrangement should look like a triangle.
