How to make a succulent dish garden

This design was inspired by Monet's Water Lilies. I first saw it in Succulent Container Gardens by Debra Lee Baldwin. It was designed by the California Cactus Center.

I had a large Echeveria so I planted it next.

I then planted some Echeveria cuttings to fill out the dish garden.
