STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Thaw bread dough.
Set tin foil on a cookie sheet, spray with cooking spray.
Set thawed dough on tinfoil
Cover thawed bread with a piece of plastic wrap sprayed with cooking spray.
Let rise until double (5-8 hours)
Punch down dough and roll out until it covers cookie sheet.
Layer your choices of meat over dough.
Add a few squirts of mustard, or any condiment that your prefer.
Add six slices of preferred cheese.
Fold long edges of dough on top of each other, and then seal the ends. Turn it on the cookie sheet so that the seam is facing down.
Beat egg yolk and brush on top of dough. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and choice of seasonings. (I used Trader Joes 21 seasoning here)
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes, or until top is golden brown. Wait five minutes before slicing.
Makes a delicious sandwich for picnicking. (I've also made this before using Thanksgiving dinner leftovers; turkey, dressing, potatoes, corn, cranberry sauce and gravy...so good!)
- Frozen bread dough
- Ham, salami, turkey, roast beef, etc. slices
- Cheddar, jack, provolone, etc. cheese slices
- Italian Seasoning, spice mix, etc
