You will need equal parts sugar to water. I am using 1 cup of each.
You need to heat the water or you will be unable to dissolve all of the sugar.
Allow your syrup to cool before transferring to the storage container. I like to reuse glass jars. Label your jar for the flavor. I just left pieces of ginger in the syrup. You can eat the ginger too.
