How to make a simple shirazi salad

I learned how to make this salad from Amir at Banu, a delicious Iranian restaurant in Toronto. Now I make it almost every week for its simplicity and tastiness.

INGREDIENTS

Dice the cucumber, tomato and onion in 1/2 inch pieces. Have approx equal amounts of each or whatever you prefer.

For the dressing, mix up the olive oil, lemon. I love using those dollar store ketchup bottles to mix. Then add dressing to chopped veggies and add salt and pepper to taste.

  • 1/2 English cucumber
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1.0Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2Tbsp Olive oil
