This stylus is simple to make but works as good as any $40+ stylus on the market.

Remember, for a stylus to work on a touch screen iDevices it must be conductive material. So your hand provides the static electricity when it touches the stylus. The tip must be at least 1/4" wide.

Conductive foam is the foam you'd use to store micro chip and other electronic parts. You can find it online. Try electronics stores. I also read that some kitchen sponges work but this stuff is best.

In fact just cutting a strip of this stuff can be used as a stylus alone. But I want a more firm handle on a stylus.

So grab a small keychain size sharpie marker.

Take the marker apart by putting the cap on and gently bending it back and forth. The two half of the marker will loosen and you'll be able to take the marker apart. Be careful it could break.

Once it's apart remove the ink cartridge.

With a saw (I used a hack saw) cut off the tip of the marker that holds the felt writing tip. Your saw blade will end up with ink on it from the felt tip.

Use needle nose pliers to remove any felt still inside.

Sand the tip down so you have a nice smooth opening. Cut a strip of the foam a little wider than it needs to be. And work it into the top of the marker like you see in this image.

Trim the tip into a nice round shape with scissors. Remember it still has to be at least a quarter inch in diameter.

That's all there is to it. This stylus works as good as any I've tried for a fraction of the cost.

Enjoy!!!
