How to make a shaker card: crafters companion, rrr & xyron

Color your image with a light color. I used Spectrum Noir Alcohol Marker PP2. Then add shading with the following SN Colored Pencils: 12, 30, 31, 36, 41, 50, 52, 96.

After shading with the SN Colored Pencils, blend with SN Gamsol and a SN paper stump.

Using craft foam and your metal dies, cut out frames. I used 4 to achieve enough height for the shaker window. Adhere them together with Xyron 1/4" High Tack Tape.

Add Xyron 1/4" High Tack Tape to the front of the foam frame.

Adhere a piece of acetate to the front foam frame.

Add Xyron 1/4" High Tack Tape to the back of the decorative die cut frame front. Add this decorative frame to over top of the acetate on the front of the foam frame.

Flip your frame over and add sequins on top of the acetate window.

Place Xyron 1/4" High Tack Tape around the entire foam frame back.

Add your colored image to the create the back of the window of your shaker box. This will enclose the sequins in the window.

This is what your shaker box should look like when complete. Now it is time to assemble the card.

This card is a 5.25 X 5.25" card. My designer paper is cut at 5" square. Add adhesive from Xyron on the back and adhered it to coordinating cardstock. Use Perfect Layers Tools to create a matte.

Stamp your sentiment. This sentiment is from Crafters Companion.

Using Really Reasonable Ribbon's Sheer Ribbon with a Satin Center in Fuchsia, create a bow with the Bow It All from Zutter. Both are found on the RRR site: www.reasonableribbon.com.

Add ribbon to the front of your matted card.

Add Xyron 1/4" High Tack Tape to the backside of the card front.

Adher card front to card base.

Add your RRR Bow and your shaker box with the sentiment to your card front.
