How to make a rope surround for a dart board
After a few beers, you may end up with some rouge darts that want to find their way into your wall. This is how I made a rope surround for my dart board

So I have this hung in my garage
The walls are concrete so when a dart would miss the board, this is what would happen, and it's not too good for the darts either
Got a large board 40x40
And I already had some 1" marine rope laying around (who doesn't?)
Centered the dart board on the wood
Then screwed the dart board down and screwed the first layer of rope to it
So I would wrap and screw the rope into the lower layer, then the next one into the wood and I would alternate like that. I did every 8" or so
Much easier up higher and I could spin it on my service cart
Once you have as many layers as you need, cut the rope, I used my cut off wheel as this is nylon rope and I needed it to "melt" together so it wouldn't fray
Then screw down the end
Nearly finished
Propped the board up on a milk crate so I could use a jig saw to cut off the excess wood
Then hang back up, the center of the dart board should be 5'8" from the ground
