How to make a planket

Cut and measure ALL your fabrics and polyester batting to the size listed.

Start with the blanket and put right sides together(which means the brightest sides touch each other.) Now, sew all the way around with a straight seam leaving one gap big enough for your hand.

Trim the corners and turn your blanket inside out.

Now, repeat steps 2 and 3. Make sure to sew your polyester on after sewing the two pieces fabrics together BEFORE turning it inside out.

Now thread your needle and whip stitch the pocket onto the blanket. MAKE SURE that you only sew the bottom and two sides- NOT THE TOP! That is where the blanket folds into.

BTW, I'm sorry about the blur and shape of the blanket my my camera isn't very nice. And also this is the front of the blanket.

This is the back of the blanket.

So now, lay it flat on the ground.

Again, sorry! It's a little blurry but you're just folding it back till you reach the edge of the pocket.

Then, flip it back to the front side and start folding towards the pocket. Try to make each fold about the same size as the pocket, that way it will fit inside it nicely.

So, you just kind of tuck it in and it stays pretty well.
