How to make a paper snowflake

Start out with a plain piece of white paper and make sure all of the sides are straight.

Next, take the short side and line it up with the long side of the paper to form a right triangle with a bit of extra paper at the end. It's important that your sides line up as straight as you can.

Cut off the extra paper, so that you have just the triangle. (Cut as straight as you can so that the end product will be symmetrical.)

Take one of the corners and fold it over. Then, repeat with the other corner.

Now you'll have this! You may have to readjust your folds a few times to get all of the creases to line up. ~Which is, once again, very important!~

Fold it in half! Press the folds down as much as you can.

Now, cut off all of the extra paper at the top to create a smooth line at the top of the triangle.

Next, cut whatever design that your heart desires! This is where your imagination will come in handy ;)

Unfold your snowflake and admire your hard work!
