How to make a paper mache mask

Gather your supplies

Cover your surface for easy cleanup

Rip your newspaper

Make small strips

Use glue or wheat paste to make paper mâché. Two parts glue to one part water.

Dip paper strips into glue mixture. Scrape off the excess glue by running the paper between your fingers. Apply the strips to the mask form.

Cover the entire form with at least three layers.

Let alone to dry. This will take at least 24 hours depending on the thickness.

Pop the mask off the form

Use scissors to trim.

Paint your mask. You can add hair, googly eyes, glitter, feathers,etc. Coat with Mod Podge. Let dry overnight.
