STEPS
TOOLS
Here are all the supplies you need.
Start by folding the paper diagonally to create a triangle.
Unfold the paper and fold again diagonally on the other side.
It should look like this when unfolded.
Now, fold over the paper in half horizontally.
Unfold and then fold the paper in half vertically.
Unfold the paper again so you can see the lines you have created.
Begin to fold the paper into a pyramid-shape by pushing the corners in and bringing the center of the paper up, as shown in the picture above.
Push the two sides in to create the triangle, as the image shown in the next step.
Crease the edges of the triangle.
The bottom of the triangle should look like the image above.
Begin to fold the triangle in half vertically.
The image above shows the folded triangle.
You should be able to see all four edges in one corner.
Using a pair of scissors, cut the corner of the triangle to round out the edges.
Unfold it back to the previous triangle.
Fold up one of the edges (the bottom corner of the top layer triangle) to the top corner.
Repeat the step for the other side.
Take the top corner and start to fold it back.
Fold it all the way back.
Bring it to the other side and pinch the top over the front of the butterfly.
Squeeze the butterfly together, as shown above, to help keep the top in place.
And there you have it, your own paper butterfly!
