Put the jar in a vise grip and mark where you want your holes to go. The bottom one is the larger one for the dowel to go through and the smaller for birds to get the seeds from.

IMPORTANT! Only drill holes in the front half of the jar. The feeder will be against the place you hang it. If you create a handle on top of the lid instead of hanging the way I did, drill all around.

Put all of the dowels through the feeder. If your holes are parallel you can put the dowel right through. If not, put the dowel to the back of the jar and glue it.

Now shape a piece of wire like I have here. Glue it onto the back right in the centre. If you want you can instead make it a handle and glue it to the top to hang off a chain.

Fill up the feeder with Nyger seed and hang it up. Your feeder is finished!

Time to admire your work! I've hung it by a water feature in my backyard that finches drink from regularly. Now they can eat there too!
