How to make a mini message in a bottle
A miniature version of an old classic for love notes, random messages that we hope will withstand the rage of the sea, or just a nautical decoration.

Fill the bottle with sand. You can do a scoop method, which I used, or make a funnel.
Stop when the bottle is a bit less than half full.
Mark off the length of the paper to be put in the jar. Should be about 3/4 the length of the jar.
Cut out the strip.
Write a message. Mine is c'est la vie, c'est la mort, which means it is life, it is death, in French.
Roll up the message.
Tie with the string. After this I singed the ends, I'm not really sure why...
Find a few shells small enough to fit in the opening.
Put everything in the jar (you may need tweezers to push the mini scroll in). I suggest putting shells in first. Cork the bottle, and you're all done!
Now that you're done making the message in a bottle, you have to put it to use! You can turn it into a charm, make a necklace out of it, or write a sweet message in it and give it as a present.
