To make the wax catcher: Using a Metal ruler and a scribe Measure your sheet metal 7 x 7cm
Now cut your sheet metal with the guillotine
Using the metal ruler and scribe we need to find the centre, draw to straight lines from corner to corner. Leaving the middle.
Once you have found the centre, use the centre punch to make an indent by hitting the centre punch which the ball pein hammer
Now place one of the dividers legs in the indent and mark out a perfect circle.
Now using the tin snips cut out the perfect circle.
Put the circle into the vice so hold it in place, now using a file, file the edges of the circle to make the edges smooth and not rough.
Once filed, place the circle in the wooden mould. Using the tin mans mallet begin to hammer the outsides of the circle to make the circle into a wax catcher
Using the drill press, clamp your Wax catcher and line up the drill bit with the indent in you wax catcher. Turn on the drill press and press down with not to much pressure. Soon the hole will be made
Now you have your wax catcher
Secure your flat bar in the Vice and now use the file to file the ends and edges of your flat bar till smooth
Now using your scroll plate, place your flat bar in the scroll plate
Then begin scrolling until it is scrolled
Now your scroll should look like this. Using your metal ruler and scribe measure 80mm in and use the hack saw to cut off the feet. Then file the ends
Once you have cut off the foot, to find the centre use a metal ruler and scribe, draw lines from corner to corner. Now once you've found the centre use the centre punch to make an indent in the centre
Now take the scroll bit and using a metal ruler and scribe measure 1.5 cm in from the end. Then use a centre punch to make an indent in the centre of the line.
Now using the drill press, align the drill bit up with the indents in the feet and the bar and turn on the drill press. Once turned on apply pressure and drill the holes.
Using a ruler and scribe measure 1.5 cm in on the feet and 1cm from the hole on your scroll. Use a vice and ball pein hammer to hammer each side of the feet and the scroll to make it bend
Now get a pot rivet and place it through the holes join your plate, scroll and foot together.
Using the pot rivet gun, place it on the pot rivet. Then pull the gun apart the together, apart and together, then pull up and it should be all finished.
Now you have made you mini candle holder, it should look like this don't forget to sand if you need to.
