STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Jello in a bread pan lined with Saran Wrap, one recipe of chocolate cake divided in two cookie sheet pans and double recipe of Rice Krispies
I prepared the jello using only one cup of hot water per recipe... So 4 packets of blue jello and 4 cups of boiling water
Measure jello into 2" cubes and cut with thread or dental floss (or knife whatever you prefer)
Marking each end to line it up evenly and cutting with thread
Do the same thing with the Rice Krispies
2" cubes
Cut the cakes in half
Layer with a nice dollop of buttercream
Spread evenly
I ended up with 3 layers of cake to make the perfect 2" height
Depending on the final shape you want begin to cut your cake into the cubes
This cut was 4" in and 4" wide
Cake cut into the cube portions
Move cake to a cake board
When stacking the cake I used dowels to secure it
Begin to assemble cubes however you want, be creative!
The Rice Krispies should fit perfectly in the middle of the cake, and it will also add support to the cake
Add in the Rice Krispies for the sand and the jello for the water
Gel food colouring for the grass
Add desired amount of green to buttercream and mix well
Use a grass tip for piping, or a star tip if you do not have a grass tip
Yay grass is complete
I searched "minecraft 3D figurines" and then printed off the characters I wanted to use
A hot glue gun was used to make the figurines. The pig turned out so great!
There are plenty of figurines online, you just have to find the ones you like. I also used a thicker paper, much more sturdy and can handle the hot glue gun better
I ended up with pigs, zombies, a wolf and of course Steve
