How to make a milk jug pumpkin

Take your clean milk or water jug and take the label off.

Cut out a hole in the back of the jug where the handle is. It needs to be big enough to put the string of lights in.

It should look like this.

Get your paint out. I think one is called poster paint and the other is just water color paint. Both seem to work well for me.

Start painting your jug orange.

You should now have a nice light colored orange jug. You don't want to put the paint on to thick or the string lights won't show through. Let it sit and dry for a while.

Take your marker and draw an outline for the face that you want.

Eyes, nose, and mouth outline.

Use black paint to color in the features.

All done.

Grab your lights and put them in through the hole in the back.

This isn't the greatest picture, but it does look nice with all the lights off.

I am by no means even close to being an artist but it was fun trying out different faces on the jugs. This one is suppose to be Frankenstein.
