First you're going to need a small jar, this can be a mason jar or a jam jar for example.

Next, you need to take any sort of rocks and line the bottom of the jar, this will create drainage.

Next, you'll need to take soil or potting mix and layer it on top of the rocks, try not to mix the two together and keep the soil on top of the rocks. You need to make it the same depth as the rocks.

Next, gather your small plants, moss and small ferns work very well because they do not need much care.

Position the plants inside the jar, I used a straw to move and position the plants inside the jar because the opening was too small for my hand.

Next, you'll want to most your plants, I'd suggest using a spray bottle, but if you're lacking one like me you can use a hose on a mist setting.

One you've watered your plants, screw the lid on loosely, you want to make it so oxygen can still get into the plants so don't srew the lid all the way on.

All done! Make sure to keep it in moderate sunlight and if it looks dry give it some water! Refrain from opening as much as possible though! Enjoy!
