Collect all of your ingredients

Gather all of your equipment

Weigh your butter out to 220g

Now put your butter in a bowl and let it melt

Then with some butter grease your bowl.

Then weigh 220g of caster sugar and put it in your mixing bowl or maja mix

Then weigh out 220g of self-raising flower

Then siv your flower into your bowl or maja mix

Then add four eggs to your mixture

Then pour your butter into the mixture

It should look like this in your bowl or maja mix

Then mix it all together until all of your ingredients are one mixture

It should look like this

Then put half of the mixture into the bowl

Then put a table spoon of milk in a mug and put it in the micro wave for 15seconds

Then add a level table spoon of coco powder into the mug

Then mix it together until there are no lumps

Then pour into the other half of your mixture that is still in the bowl

Then mix it together

Then put it into the other bowl

Make sure that you get as much as possible out of the bowl

Then even it out

Then make the swirls with a squar

Like this

Then put it in a trivet

Then Into a big sauce pan and

Then put it into the cooker or aga

The cake will come out at around 4 O'clock

Then put your things away and wash up

Now take it out and see if it bounces back when you put your finger on the sponge

Then get a knife and go round the edges to release it from the sides

These are the ingredients for the icing

Then take the cake out of the tin and put it on the rack

Then put your chocolate and butter on to the cooker or aga to melt until there are no lumps

Then stir it every so often

Then put the icing onto the cake

Then smere it all over the cake
