STEPS
INGREDIENTS
This smoothie has no added sugar, and only 2g of fat (from the protein powder), plus 29g of protein!
You will need a cutting board and knife, 1 cup (dry measure), liquid measuring cup and blender.
Peel and slice up one ripe, medium banana.
Get one heaping scoop of the *frozen* mixed fruit. The mix should have strawberry, mango, pineapple and peach at the minimum.
Measure 1/2 cup of 100% natural apple juice. You can add more apple juice at the end to change the thickness of the smoothie, if desired.
Add one scoop of vanilla-flavored protein powder. This step can be removed if you don't want/need the extra protein boost. *Never allow children to have anything with protein powder!*
Now that all the ingredients are ready, it's time to blend!
Add the apple juice first, followed by the frozen fruit, then the protein powder, and then by the banana.
Blend for about 30-60 seconds, or until there's no more chunks. Add more apple juice at this point if you want a less thick smoothie.
Pour and enjoy! It makes about 14-16 ounces of smoothie.
