How to make a love banner

Gather supplies.

Cover the page in a red watercolor wash.

Draw lines of hearts, alternating colors.

Trace and cut out swallowtail pennants (draw the lines on the back to avoid stray pencil marks on the finished product!)

Arrange pennants in the order you want them to hang.

Use sewing needle to thread string through pennants.

Outline the letters in pencil.

Go over the pencil with gold paint pen...

...and then fill in the letters with the pen.
