Preheat oven at 180c. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy
Add eggs one at a time and continue beating
Add flour, baking powder and salt slowly and lemon juice. Beat until no traces of flour found in batter
Pour batter into greased baking tins. Bake at 180c for 40-50 mins or until the centre is cooked when a skewer is poked right through
To make the glaze, melt butter
Add sugar and lemon juice and cook until mixture boils
Pour the glaze over the lemon cake when hot
Viola!!
