How to make a lantern out of paper

To do this you need an A4 piece of paper, a glue stick, a pair of scissors and an A5 piece of paper (or cut an A4 piece in half

Get the A4 piece of paper

Fold it in half length ways

As shown

Now the scissors

Cut slits but leave a bit at each end

Unfold the piece of paper

Fold it width ways

Like this

Now the glue

Glue down the bits at the end from top to bottom

Like this

Stick the ends together

Push it down gently

So it looks like this

Get the A5 piece if paper

Cut down the longest side

So it looks like this

Stick at each end

Stick it inside like this

This is what it should look like

This should be your finished project

Then if you want to you can colour it in and let your mind go wild by doing scribbles and swirls etc.
