How to make a jean bag

Get a pair of jeans and make sure you wash the,

Cut off the pant legs level with the beginning of the legs. Cut at least 2cm below the bottoms of the back pockets and below the zipper, for seam allowance.

Choose the colour thread you would like to use; try to use the thread colour that is already on the jeans

Turn the jeans inside out and sew across the bottom to shut the leg opening

Get the legs of the jeans and cut out two straps 5cm wide (you can make it any length you want,, it depends on how low or high you want the bag to hang)

Turn the strap over an iron the strap so that both sides meet in the middle and sew along the sides

Sew one of the straps where the front hips sit with the sewing machine in a square pattern

Sew the other strap where the back of the hips sit and sew the other strap in the same pattern as you did with the front strap

Cut our two pieces of lining (to get the right measurement trace the bag) the same size. You can do it any colour you want.

Sew around the outside out the lining but NOT THE TOP

Turn the bag inside out and sew on the lining all round the bag

Get a zip the right that is the right size for your bag and unzip it so you can sew both sides along the bag (if you pin it first it will make it easier to sew)
