Make a Japanese Leaf Out of a Cucumber

INGREDIENTS
Set up the cutting board and place your cucumber on the top.
Slice an inch and a half to the edge of each side of the cucumber.
Slice off a fourth of the edge of the cucumber. Toss the bigger half to the side.
Cut out the seeded core of the cucumber.
Once the cucumber is hollowed it should look like this.
Slice off small right triangles at the bottom of the cucumber as pictured.
Slice strips off each side of the cucumber slightly and round your cuts.
Make the edges of the inside smooth.
Cut through the skin two parallel lines down the center.
Peel off parts of the skin left to right of the parallel lines. The ending result should look like this.
Now cut four small slitted holes on each side of the cucumber.
The final slts should look as pictured.
Cut tiny triangles down both sides of the cucumber.
This is the cucumber after both of the sides are done.
