INGREDIENTS
Ingredientsπ
I picked the honey crisp apples off my tree π
Here they are, washed and ready ( you need a lot more than three). I used 9 or 10 π
First thing you have to do is gather your apples and start to core, peel, and slice them.
Apple getting cored π³
π Make sure it gets through the bottom of the apple, twist, then pull back through...π
Core popping out. Yes!
Should look like this when done π
Now peel the apple skin off....
and it should look like this π
Slice it so that the slices are thin....
Like this one, not any thicker than a quarter.
My 10 cups of apples are ready! Phew...that took some time π
Now it's time to preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Oven set to preheat.
Place your sliced apples into a 9x13 pan.
Add to a bowl, the sugar...
And the 1 tbsp of flour...
And the 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Mix these ingredients together π
Then pour over the apples!
Should look like this π
Add the 1/2 cup of water and pour it over evenlyπ
Add to the emptied bowl your cup of oats...
Then the cup of flour...
Then the cup of packed brown sugar...
Add in the baking powder...
And the baking soda...
And the melted butter π
Should look like this π
After its mixed, this is the finished crumble topping.
Now you can either use your hands and sprinkle all over the top or dump and spread it. It's up to you π
Here's what it looks like when the topping is all on π
Now put it in the preheated 350 oven for 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes go by, test the middle for both apple softness and how hot it is. Mine took about an hour to be readyβΊ
