How to make a homemade dog toy

Gather your supplies. For this project you will need a large t-shirt, scissors, a tennis ball, a marker and a rubber band.

Lay the t-shirt on the ground so that the back of the shirt is facing the ceiling. Taking a marker, outline on the shirt the area you want to cut out. Cut out where you outlined with marker.

Once you've cut out the back of the shirt, draw a line down the middle.

Cut the shirt into two pieces of fabric.

Place both pieces on top of each other and place the ball roughly in the middle.

Taking the rubber band, tie the t-shirt around the ball. Try to tie it as tight as possible.

Cut the remaining fabric into 4 sections.

Take one of the sections and cut it into 3 parts. Try to have them as equal as possible, but it doesn't have to be precise.

Braid the 3 strips together tightly.

When you get to the end tie the 1st strip with the 3rd strip. Then the second strip with either the 1st or 3rd strip, it doesn't matter which one.

Repeat steps 7 & 8, doing them on each remaining piece of fabric until each section is braided and it looks like the photo.

Find you dog and watch him enjoy playing with his easy, fun, homemade toy!
