Get your hat ready. Some hats come in one size and are too big, but too cute not to buy!

You need some kind of foam tape, sticky on one side. This is draught excluder tape. Try looking in the pound shop/ dollar store in the diy section.

Turn your hat over. It should have a band of ribbon round.

Lift that up, we are going to stick the tape under here. If the hat is a tiny bit big, put 1 or 2 strips on either side. If your hat is huge, put the tape all the way around.

Stick the tape right at the top, underneath the ribbon.

Try and keep it straight.

When you are done, fold the ribbon back down. Try your hat on. If it is too tight, take a section of tape back off. If it is still too big, add a bit more on top of the tape.
