Gather your ingredients.
In a chilled shaker that is 3/4 filled with crushed ice, add 2 oz of gin.
Add your teaspoon of superfine sugar. We used baking sugar.
Squeeze in your 1/2 ounce of lemon juice.
Shake well in your chilled cocktail shaker.
Strain into your glass.
Top off with champagne.
