How to make a foam sword (for cosplay)

Collect your supplies and move to an area you can turn into a mess.

Take the scissors and cut the template for the weapon out.

Take the pencil and trace the template onto the foam board.

Take the exacto knife and cut the pieces out of the foam board. Making a mess

Glue the pieces together and put somewhere safe to set.

Apply any decorative pieces and fill any holes or nicks.

Use exacto knife and sand paper to smooth and even your weapon.

Use a rag or wash cloth to brush away any dust resulting from the sandpapering.

Find a place for painting. Somewhere that is okay to get paint on.

Paint the weapon. (DON'T use spray paint!!!)

Clean your room.

Allow to dry and bask in the glory of your creation, but clean your room.
