How to make a fleece scarf

Gather supplies.

Trim edges.

Your scarf will be 60 x 8 inches. Cut material to size. My material was 60 inches long, so I folded the material in half, which was 30 inches...

Then marked width to eight inches.

After you mark the eight inches, cut down the 30 inch length. (Remember this is folded, so you will actually have a 60 inch length x 8 inches wide)

Make one inch marks along the two eight inch ends. This will be your fringe. Mark four inches high. This is how far up you will cut your fringe to.

Carefully cut your fringe.

After fringe is cut, fold fringe up....

Make a tiny slit on the fold....

Take edge of each fringe and loop it through each slit.

Pull taut. This looped edge makes a smoother edge than the traditional knot, and looks a bit nicer than not knotting at all.
