First find a hill side like so
Sorry this is the wrong pic Dig into it until there is one block above you
Dig six blocks in
Dig six three more times counting the corners and make a square
Add a door (if it gets night add then)
Dig the middle out and place some torches
LOTS OF TORCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
