How to make a fast and easy pear sauce
This is a really simple and versatile recipe that goes great with almost everything. Enjoy over ice cream, pancakes, crepês, as a pie filing or on pastry :)
Start by peeling and cutting the pears.
Melt some butter in a sauce pan over medium-high heat.
Add the first bunch of pears and let cook for a minute or two on each side.
Add the rest. Stir to combine them.
Once the pears are slightly cooked, add the brown sugar and cover with a lid. The heat will melt the sugar and create the sauce.
After a minute or two, stir to make sure that its not sticking to the pan. I like to keep a few chunks but kind of smash the rest. This will thicken the sauce and make it easier to eat.
After cooking for about 5 minutes, this is how it should look like. Let cool and store in a container with a lid. Simple, easy, delicious!
