How to make a fancy cat bow tie

So here are your supplies. Making this takes no sewing skills or materials at all, which for me, makes it super convenient.

Take a piece of tape and fold it over itself. Repeat this over and over again, layering over the first one.

Keep layering tape, increasing the strap's length, until you think it would fit comfortably and loosely around your feline's neck.

Cut it in half, and put a final layer of tape over each half to smooth it out.

Cut them like this. Looks like some cool logo from a sci fi movie. DO NOT discard the lower halves.

Cut out two triangular-ish pieces of white fabric and line them up with the tape shapes, underneath them.

So it should look like this. Keep stapling the back layer of fabric to the tape, and be sure no staples show on the front! (Some may end up there though)

Your end result should look something like this.

Repeat those steps on the other piece of tape, it should end up looking like this.

Take a lower half piece from earlier, and cut it like this. Take the longer piece and lay it on the red fabric.

Cut out a piece of red fabric roughly larger than the piece of tape.

Fold and staple the red fabric around the tape, don't worry about how the back looks. Just be sure the edges are smooth and the front is nice looking

Trim it down, make it thinner and shorter. This is our first red tape shape.

Take the pointed edge you cut off the first lower half, and cut the other pointed edge off the one that was left alone.

Cover the first pointed edge in red fabric, use the same technique you've been using. This is how large it and the first red tape shape should be.

Cover the other pointed edge in red fabric. The three red shapes should look like this.

Wrap the first red shape around itself, leaving a hole in the middle.

Staple the two pointed edges into the hole in the first red shape.

Tape the two white shapes together like this, put the tape on the back.

Staple the bow to the collar.

Put it on your cat! Be amazed!
