How to make a door stopper

Wrap the tape around one end of the rope or cord. With a hobby knife cut a cross in the ball on opposite sides. Thread the rope through the ball and make a knot.

Put a nail through the end of the rope, at the top corner of the door frame. Now, no one can accidentally close the door to the cat litterbox, yet it can easily be closed by pushing the ball aside.
